On December 10, 2023, Randy Greenstein and I were on set where a scene from June Daguiso’s project “Aswang Part 2” (the follow-up to “Aswang 2022”) was filmed. Randy and I are executive producers on the project. The filming location was in Jeffersonton, VA. We played participants in a town hall meeting, and we had lines.

I was having trouble with one of my lines and even in multiple takes, I could not get it quite right. I was advised that if you cannot remember your lines, do not stop – keep going and just say anything that makes sense in the context of the scene. That is something I must work on.

Everyone that will be appearing on-screen was required to sign a release form.

Prior to filming commencing, there was a table read of the entire scene. As for the filming itself, there were three cameras/mics being used simultaneously. Besides focusing on those saying lines, there were also reaction shots. We were often requested to speak at a low volume among ourselves while others were saying their lines, as well as reacting dramatically to what was being said, to create a more realistic ambience.

Later, there was an interview show recorded called “Hollywood in Washington DC,” hosted by Lacey Lace and Savonna Champ. The interviews focused on “Aswang Part 2” and the upcoming “Filipina Housewives of the DMV.” Randy and I were among those interviewed! The YouTube link to the interview is below.
