Here is Meme’s BIO, provided by Meme:
Meme Kelly believes that every moment of life is precious which she fills with laughter, music, her hubby’s delicious meals, family, and friends. She loves to laugh, so she wrote, produced, and directed seven (7) scripted episodes of “Hollywood Prayer and Support” on YouTube, which was laugh out loud funny and included lots of spontaneous, impromptu unscripted material. Writing it helped Meme through a dark period. It garnered over 10000 views, and some episodes were liked over 2000 times. In addition, Meme wrote, directed and produced an indie film “One Night in LA” which is agented and has recently received distribution offers. She also wrote, directed, and produced three short films (two scripted and one unscripted). And she has offered three plays to packed theaters in Los Angeles. She has an MFA in Creative Writing for the Performing Arts, where she was a Distinguished Dean’s Fellow, and she has a BA (UCLA) from the University of California. She is called to the arts and two of her scripts were finalists in prestigious contests: A TV pilot script was selected as a semi-finalist, top 10 script out of 200 scripts in UCLA Film School’s Samuel Goldwyn contest. And her indie feature “Every Night in LA” rose past 6000 scripts, landing almost as a quarter-finalist in the Nichol’s Academy Contest. Although she hasn’t achieved all of her creative goals, she feels blessed beyond measure with a beautiful family, including her hubby, who was her UCLA college sweetheart, three amazing sons and two doggies! She has a treasure trove of great completed scripts and stories. She’ll write until she takes her last breath! She doesn’t quit because she’s the daughter of a strong black woman who never gave up on her dreams while thriving with breast cancer for 32 years and being appointed as the first Black, first woman, and the youngest Director of Military Schools for the Department of Defense, Atlantic and Germany Regions.
