Okema T. Moore is a producer on the series “Solekings”.
Sole Kings follows the lives of 5 enterprising sneaker enthusiasts hustling their way through the world of sneaker culture, on their quests to define who they are and make a name for themselves in the city’s competitive sneaker game. – From Solekings Facebook page

Danielle Earle is directing the play “Murder by the Sea” by Jenna Schlags, part of the Leela NYC Theatre Festival.

The Port Jefferson Documentary Series 2017 Fall Series began on September 11 and will present films every Monday until October 30. I interviewed co-director Wendy Feinberg. If you are in the Long Island, NY, area in September or October, consider attending the Fall Series of the PJDS.
“Survivor Stories” has been awarded the Best Web Series award at the DC Black Film Festival.
One of the “Survivor Stories” is “The Runaways”, by Dewey Ortiz, Jr.
James and Kellee have always led a hard life. James has spent the last several years in a group home. Kellee has had enough of her drunk and abusive father, David. Together, James and Kellee use their love for one another as strength to leave their abusive lives and set out to make a life on their own. – From The Runaways website.
“August in the City”, written by Lisa Tedesco and directed by Christie Conochalla, is an official selection of the Lady Filmmakers Festival.
Shauntay Cherry’s film “Silent Cries: The Prelude” has been awarded Best Short Film, and Shauntay has been awarded Best Director, at the Validate Yourself Film Festival.
Lex Anthony remembers his father; a failing entrepreneur who began to buckle under the pressures of fatherhood as his son’s 7th birthday approached. – From Heart of David Pictures YouTube page.
Kim Akia was part of a team that produced a sci-fi film “JANE”. It won 2nd place at the AT&T Create-A-Thon.
And finally, the second season of Jolie East-Miji’s web series “B-City” is in production!! I am an executive producer, and on-set I am the Key Production Assistant. Everyone associated with the series is so excited!
