Ryan Barnes is a Texas based actor, raised in Southlake, a Keller High School grad, and a University of Texas at Arlington alum. He first fell in love with acting in 7th-grade theater and rediscovered that passion years later after an unexpected detour through music.

For a decade, Ryan fronted the high-energy band Sweet Texas Crude, known for its “Red Dirt TX Rock with a Pissed Off Attitude.” The band played across DFW, toured Costa Rica for a rainforest benefit, and even performed four prison tours.
After the band ended, Ryan spent several years teaching and coaching, but knew the structure of the job limited his ability to pursue acting seriously. Inspired by Arnold Schwarzenegger’s autobiography, “Total Recall,” Ryan decided that a career in real estate could fund creative freedom. He earned his real estate license, retired from teaching, and built a business that allowed him to chase acting on his own terms.
Today, Ryan has appeared in national commercials, TV shows, and feature films. He lives in his new home on 6 acres in Weatherford with his wife, their dog, and his parents next door — a life he proudly calls a dream coming true.
