Introduction
Recently, my friends and colleagues Johanna Mateo and Toni Tantlinger, the founders of Move the World Productions, made an important decision. They are now acting on that decision. Travel with us as we catch up with Toni and Johanna.
Q&A
I sent Johanna and Toni a list of questions and they responded on April 5, 2017.

Alan: What is the major life changing decision you made?
Johanna and Toni: Well, we sold everything we owned and packed up our life in a suitcase to hit the road indefinitely. We made a decision to chase something greater than we could explain in words and a bulk of it is still unknown and in that, we find the beauty of this journey. We don’t have set plans except to enjoy, live and experience everything we can while we connect with people from all over the world. We hope that with documenting our travels (with photos, videos, and blogs) that it helps others take on whatever life goal or mission they’ve been putting off and just get out there and do what they’ve always dreamed of doing. The only true failure in life is regret, everything else is just lessons. Take the initiative to do you, unequivocally and with confidence. Life is too short for anything else.
A: What drove you to make this major life change?
JandT: It takes being really honest with yourself as to where you are in life, where you’ve always wanted to be and the excuses you continually set up for yourself as to why you aren’t pursuing your dreams harder and that is what happened to us one night and we haven’t looked back since.
A: Explain what you are trying to accomplish. How does it correlate with the mission of Move the World Productions?
JandT: We have always had big hopes and dreams for this production company and it spans far beyond entertainment. While we do have some grade A big projects for the future that are entertainment related it isn’t and hasn’t been our sole mission. We, as founders, feel a human responsibility to do something about our current world affairs and any little impact we can do within our power and skill to help steer this world into a positive union state will always be our main driver for existing.
A: Tell us about the type of content you will be creating.
JandT: We are developing short travel videos showcasing the cities/countries we visit throughout our European journey and when we land in our next big destination we will be producing a longer episodic series featuring the country and all it has to offer. We are very much looking forward to this project. Meanwhile, we will continue to look for brands and non-profits that align with our beliefs and passions to work with and produce some more thought-provoking content. The best is yet to come!
A: How will you be using social media and other website to get out your new message?
JandT: We will be posting relevant content on our active social media sites. That is FB [Facebook], Instagram, and YouTube! All videos will be posted on FB and YouTube. Our professionally edited images can only be found on our Instagram page and Facebook has all the additional anecdotes from our travels that can only be found there as well. You’ll want to be sure to follow us along on as many platforms as possible!
A: How can your “fans” participate?
JandT: Join the conversation and let us know what you want to see, where you want us to go, and whom you think we should partner up with! We are very community minded and we hope our followers can grow to the point where they feel just as part of this journey. We want as many people to get involved in conversations on our social media sites and let us know what they like, what they don’t like, their opinions, etc. The only rule we have is to keep it positive even if you disagree with us or others in the community. I’ve admired the type of community that HONY [Humans of New York] has put together and that type of genuine togetherness is what we’d love to capture for ours (even if it’s on a smaller scale) 😉
A: What is next for Johanna and Toni?
JandT: We will be announcing our next big destination and the content we will be producing there next month so stay tuned to our [Seasons of Wander] Facebook Page as we will announce it there first!
